Burrowing. Bad? Good?

I just got a new baby corn.

The first day he never burrowed, today, that's all he is doing.

He hasn't burrowed over or anywhere near the UTH thank god.

Is is okay that he wants to be covered, could it be because the hid I bought him is meant for an adult corn?

I have Repti-Bark fyi.

If your corn is avoiding burrowing where your UTH is, it may be too hot. Do you have the temp regulated for the UTH?

It is natural and normal for corns to burrow.

It would not hurt to add some extra hides for your snake to use. Empty toilet paper rolls are great and really cheap. :)

Also, if you do not have your UTH hooked up to a thermostat or rheostat, you need to get one asap.

Burrowing is totally normal CS behavior. Some do it more than others though. I would recommend getting a thermostat for the UTH if you don't already have one. If the UTH is too hot and he/she burrows down to it...well I'm sure you can use your imagination.

I prefer reptile carpet on the bottom of my viv, versus substrate - but I have a plastic tub filled with aspen in the viv so mine can still burrow when she wants to.

Wow thanks.

Where is the best place to get the heat control things your bringing up?
And when I get one, I need to get the GLASS touching the UTH to be 80 degrees?
