Burrowing corn wont venture around (concerned)

Rainey

Why can't I have more?
Hey Friends!

Well, My Baby corn (5 weeks old) just came in on Tuesday and I put her in her little plastic shoebox right away. She used the hide for a day then decided that she loved to burrow under the aspen (on the cold side). The first night she came out and basked on the warm side. But She has not come out from under the chips for a day and a half. I'm kinda concerned about her, is it normal for her to never come out of the aspen? She is moving around under there a bit, she shifts positions but never changes location. Can any of you shed some light on this one for me?

Thanks a tonne!

She's probably just a little shy.
If she gets too cold she will move back to the warm side.
She may have come out and explored while you were sleeping during the night.
One of mine likes to lie in the aspen all day and then comes alive at night. :)

She is just hiding. Nothing to be concerned of. The reason why she is doing this is because she still isn't use to the new environment that she is.
But of course some snakes like to hide more and some like to cruise around a bit for fun......some are even very nosy...and poke their heads out to see what's going on around when you walk pass...
don't worry . It's alright

Yep, the others are right, she's fine, just hiding. Corns are pretty solitary and secretive. They like to hide.
I happened to get one of the nosey ones though. She's always looking out to see what's going on if there is someone in her room. It's nuts! Lol. Thats why I named her Snoopy. :)

My snake did exactly that for the first week. Now she hardly ever burrows. She also acted that way before shedding. :)

your corn may be a little apprehensive to coming out for a while until it gets used to its surroundings.also mentioned, that snakes are nocturnal so she is probably out a lot of the time your asleep!!
