Butter Beans

I wonder is that a southern thing, a rural-ish southern thing, or done everywhere. When I grew up, everybody who I knew had the 'random stuff drawer in the kitchen'. Lot's of important stuff was in there. Some even had a 'second most important stuff drawer'.

Nope, not a southern thing. I think it's a requirement world wide to have a junk drawer in your kitchen. I've yet to go to someones house who DIDN'T have a junk drawer and I'm from the way north.

Yup, I'm lost.

.....I guess people are a little like beans, even if they are from the same family, one might be not very terrific and another might beckon with their humble wonderfullness.
No, not too lost, BobbyHill. In the OP Lucille is using 'beans' as a literary device to wax philosophical about 'people'.
Adding a litte cilantro (understanding), dill (insight), oregano (acceptance), or garlic (benefit of the doubt).....often makes beans (people).....a little more.....palatable.

Cilantro is quite bitter... just saying.... :D

LOL... Thanks for the good laugh. Will there be atleast drinks served at this place so we can unwind while there?

O my DEAR but of COURSE!!

Although, some days what I serve is like a Japanese Tea Ceremony, comforting, traditional, welcoming.

But some days what I serve is like moonshine in a sweaty Southern icehouse tonk, and it will knock you on your, well, you know.....:roflmao:

La la la, let's tune up here:

"You can get anything you want....."
