im thinking about buying an adult corn snake off a friend which is 16 months old and very tame will it settle in well at new home we are going to keep the viv so it wont be to distressed.
Usually the rule is feed it an item that is 1.5 times as big as the widest part of its body. Did I say that right. Lets say if it is 1 inch wide, feed it something that is 1.5 inches wide. So, if you can let us know that size someone can say what would be recomended.
Do you know if the person you are getting it from fed live food or f/t (frozen thanwed)?

Hi, I am in your situation. I just bought a corn snake that is exactly 3 feet long. He is eatting 1 small adult mouse every 6 days, but buy the 2nd day he is going crazy and looks to be hunting for more food. Also the small mouse is not leaving much of a lump. So I might try to bump him up to 2 small mice every 7 days and see what happens. I was just afraid that if he ate one mouse and then constricts the second mouse it will cause him to regurege the first mouse since everyone says how corn can regurge if distressed. And my corn that I just bought was about 2 years old and is only 36 inches.
