cage design forum and thermostat ?

Can anyone recommend good forums besides kingsnake for cages and cage design? Plan on owning a dozen or more North American colubrids (corns, rats, and pines or gophers), some garters, and maybe a small python or boa much later and am looking for ideas.

Also looking to upgrade thermostat - Helix vs Ranco vs GCS. Does anyone have real experience in operating cost between proportional and analog (Helix vs Ranco)? Boaphile plastics claims actual energy bill went down with Ranco. The GCS has a great feature set - control four cages independently - but is $259.
Any advice is appreciated.
