Cage Fog/Humidity

I've been caring for a new corn of mine and have been lately working out all the fine details of snake care. I now feel that I have all of the requirements for my cage. I was a bit curious if it would be okay to buy a mini snake fog machine for Petsmart though. The box reads that it's for reptiles, but does not specifically mention snakes. I'm also unaware of what humidity level my tank should be at and figured a fog machine would fix that. Right now my tanks temp is around 85 on the hot side by day and around 80 by night. Does anyone thing the fog machine would be a bad idea or should I go for it?

Too much I think. The humidity in my snake's viv stays around 45%. She has even shed well at 35%.

My humidity is usually between 50%-70% and has shed fine, she shed today as a matter of fact. One complete piece, 17 inches.

I would first spend my money on a good digital hydrometer, then you should see that you don't need the "snake fog machine.

I agree with Lenny. Buy a hydrometer. Then if you need help with humidity levels, you can make a humid hide fairly cheaply.

or spray the tank with a spray bottle. in the DIY section there is a thread about making a humidity hide
