I'm sure you're all aware of how fast those little baby cornsnakes can grow. I have had mine for over a year, and when I compare him to what the boid yearlings look like (all chunky and such), he looks like a shrimp. Apparently, however, he has been sneakily getting larger and larger. I have decided that at this point it is cruel to continue keeping him in his current cage (a 10 gallon aquarium).

I would like to purchase his permanent, adult home. I would like to get a well-ventilated cage made for reptiles; not another aquarium. I like the look (and price) of the Visionarium cages (http://www.visionarium.us/models.html); what do you guys think? Will it be big enough for him when he's fully grown? In addition, are the normal Vision cages (http://www.kingsnake.com/visionherp/) any good for colubrids? If so, what model would you recommend? I do not mind splurging on this cage, as I want him to have the best, but I cannot feasibly afford anything over $200, and even that is pushing it.

If I had the time and skill, I would build a cage myself, but that's not really an option. If anybody can give me info on these cages, or have their own cage that they would recommend, I would greatly appreciate it. Since I only own two snakes, I would prefer not to use a sweaterbox or anything like that. I have the time and money (at this point) to devote to a nice, aesthetically pleasing setup.

Thank you very much for your help!

the visionarium tank looks good but the only advantage (in my opinion) over an "aquarium" (that you dont want) is that they are stackable. Since theyre made of glass they will have they same trouble in getting a good temperature graadient. Someone correct me if i'm wrong but i thought the ventilation in regular aquarium style tanks were more than adequate for corns?
For your price range you may wanna reconsider building your own. If you use precut melamine (36" x 18") you would only have to make 2 cuts to build a cage with the dimensions 36" x 18" x 18" total cost roughly $75

Thank you for all your advice. My main problem with aquariums is not so much ventilation but the top. I would prefer a cage that opens from the front; I find it easier to access.

I really like the look of the Barr's cages, and I'll be sure to check out the melamine. Thank you very much!
