Candy Cane VS Creamsicle

This male was sold to us as a creamsicle, but after looking around, I think he's an orange candy cane. Opinions?

well, I don't see a picture...however a creamsicle is a corn/emoryi intergrade not a "pure" corn snake. A candy cane is a selectively bred amelanistic corn snake. (bred for red or orange blotches with the whitest background possible)

If a creamsicle has more corn blood than emoryi, it can start to look more like an amel corn snake, however it should still be referred to as a creamsicle to denote the emoryi ancestry.
 
Thanks for the explanation, Traci. That makes sense. We also have a normal grey emory and I can see the pattern/number of the saddles in the corn does look like the emory. If I were to breed a creamsicle to an amel corn, would I need to call them hybrids if I sold them?
 
That is true, babies from a Creamsicle x Amel should be called Creamsicles.
Your snake is very pretty, and looks like a creamsicle to me
