First off, have there been any recent incidents of this type? The story in this article happened a YEAR ago. And have there been any more incidents of this type? I haven't heard of any. If is a radical anti exotic group, this type of stuff would be ongoing, I would think. I mean, an isolated incedent is just that--an isolated incident. To make a statement, these kinds of things would have to happen frequently. Think about how often PETA is in the news. A whole lot more than a single, year-old story...

Secondly, think about some of the strange places we've found our escaped snakes. It is not at all far-fetched for me to imagine one crawling into a box of cereal.

I went to Snopes.com to see if I could find any reference to this incident but there was nothing. It doesn't mean that it wasn't a hoax, but Snopes is up on most of this sort of thing.

I used to work at a grocery store in Cali and have seen one or two tarantulas in the big wooden crates they come in. Granted not that many considering you could find more in the wild there, but a snake in cereal sure beats a decoder ring... At the end of the story the expert said "he was sure the animal had been kept as a pet in England and had been well looked after." It didn't get two feet long eating cereal so I'd be more concerned about the mice in the cereal :grin01:

shed'n my skin said:
Most of us would be going ot and buying more cereal...
Hehe, I would buy several boxes and if none contain a snake, I could suit the Cereal company! :crazy02:

haha, lol, maybe the snake go in tho becuase some stupid person wen to work and thought he could bring his snake in his pocket, and it climbed into the box?!?!?!

This is the second one with regaurds to snakes but there were loads to do with camen and the one I was on the fringe of erlyer this year was with a taratula. It was though the taratula one that I was given the info I have relyed on here. At the end of the day it is upto each one of us to decide which way we want to look at this but I personally am concerned bout it.
