Lol I'm not entirely sure! I did ask the breeder to explain the genetics behind it... he said:

lol, NO, sorry. they just appear to be throwbacks from normals, so i guess technically they may be classed as normal, but they are not normal in my view. the best i can show you is the adult female that i have on my gallery page, she is very brown and chocolate looking.

This is the adult Chocolate!

ive personally hatched some identical to that and they were first generation corn by greatplains - they make for very clean looking adults and they seem to be able to eat like no tomorrow ! (umm like pretty much all corns then really heheh)

cant say i kept any mind sold them all at a show along with the original mother. i wanted creamsicles at the time not brown snakes lol .....it was so long ago and i was stupid lol

Yah, i have hatched some emoryi and emoryi X corns and that is very typical. I would be careful to let people know that these "chocolate corns" quite possibly are emoryi crosses, so they don't pollute their pure lines. They look great though!!

The snake the origional poster posted looks more like a corn X grey rat. Some poeple sell these as frosted. The other pics do look like "rootbeer corns" intergrade corns with emoryi.
