Chromosomes?

How many Chromosomes do cornsnakes have? And on which Chromosomes are each of the colors located? does anyone know this... I have been reading alot of Genetic books and it seems like alot of people use fruit flys and soybeans to work out genetics(probably because they reproduce faster and at a large quanity) but I was just wondering how many Chromosomes do corn snakes have?

I think the chromosome count is between 17 and 19.

I doubt anyone knows which chromosomes which mutants are on. I'd love to hear someone is mapping the cornsnake genome, but they're too busy with humans and mice and fruit flies and other boring animals. ;)

Wouldn't it be nice to have such mappings, though? Wouldn't it be great if you could send a clipping off a ventral scale to a lab and they could tell you its genotype? Sure would make working with mutlihets a lot more productive, since you'd never have to deal with "possible" hets anymore. :)
