Circ the snake

Today I went to the reptile expo to buy some reptibac and mice, and hopefully a rack. I bought lots of mice, but couldn't find any racks or nutribac. I did find this delightful snake, that I snapped right up out of the hands of two other interested parties. He is a 18mo old creamsicle, at 122g he's eating hoppers, and has a fun aztecy type pattern in parts.

The guy who sold him to me told me that he'd shown him to Tom Thompson, who said he thought there was a pattern in him beyond just creamsicle. I did try to explain that the creamsicle wasn't a pattern.

Regardless, he is SO tame. The guy who sold him to me, told me he used the snake to allow kids to hold a snake when they came to his store.

I'm hoping to order a rack like the ones Nanci has, I was even able to find the sterilite for it. So as soon as I hear back from AP, I'll be ordering that.

Here is the new snake: Circ the creamsicle snake!

Thanks for the comments, he has such a delightful temperment as well as a stunning color and pattern!

Thanks for the comments--he was a great find. There were at least two other people thinking of getting him--I stopped by the table right after one, and held him. Then I went around the room. When I came back the guy said that the person before had darted back after I was there to tell him he'd be back if he could find a female. But right after I paid for him, another group came up and said "she's holding him now, I hope she hasn't gotten him." Haha, and I was going to buy mice and I was telling my room mate how pretty I thought he was, and someone said "yep, I thought so too, but you got there first." Yet another I got him out from under.

I'm glad I got him!

Looks like some great muscle tone on that one! It's nice to see you're adding a nice healthy (beautiful, might i add) snake to your collection!

That's a really nice creamsicle- some I have seen aren't really any different looking to a normal amel and I am afraid to order one online in case I get one that isnt how I want. But that is perfect and a pretty pattern too. If anyone can shed any light on how 'yellow' creamsicles come out I would be grateful, as I have seen these on SMR's website but am not sure...
