Cleaning Vivs

Hi ppl. What do you guys out there use to clean your vivs? Ive seen lots of brand name stuff on the net and in books from the U.S. but you cant get most of those cleaning products here in the uk. Is bleach ok? If so any brand and is 10% mix ok? Three of my snakes are babys and i dont want to harm there skin.

I use a spray called 'Home help'. It's reptile save. it says it does not have to be rinced, but i do just in case. Be aware reptiles can react very badly on certain desinfectants. Don't use it if it's not reptile save. Not even if you rince thourogly.

You can use Nolvasan, a 10% bleach solution (rinsed thoroughly), or other mild products that have been tested for reptile use. Even regular Dial soap. For the water bowls I often use a mix of vinegar and water if there is any build-up from the water - but you could use the bleach solution as well. Just be sure to rinse very well.

Vinegar or bleach. The bleach 10% to H2O works well just make sure you rinse and wash afterwards really good.

. Or Vinegar like Hexae says it does kill alot of parisites, and is a very good cleaner.

I'm in the UK and I use "Ark-Klens", which I buy from my local reptile shop. This is definitely reptile-safe. You should be able to buy it online if you don't have a supplier locally.
