Clorox Wipes?

Can't Keep A Secret
I was curious about the safety of Clorox wipes for quick-cleaning of less messy snake tubs while cleaning. Being 9mos pregnant and soon to be caring for an infant, I'm looking to save myself time where possible, but certainly not at the expense of my animals!

I have heard the the Lysol wipes are bad news, so I am leaving them well alone, but would the Clorox ones be okay? I would still plan to rinse the tubs after wiping them down... but it would save me a whole bunch of time (and some back strain) as opposed to mixing up a bucket of cleaning solution and kneeling over my bathtub every time I wash out a snake tub.

Thanks in advance for the input. :)

Congrats on the baby! :) I've used clorox wipes before without issue but I always made sure to rinse out whatever I was cleaning. I've never had an issue with them.

Thanks for the response! I was hoping that Clorox wipes would be fine, since I know a lot of us used diluted bleach as a cleaning solution already... but I wasn't sure if there was some difference about the wipes that might make them unsafe for corns. Never hurts to ask!

What if you buy that spray reptile cleaner? Healthy Habitat. I really like that, and then you don't have to worry.

I've used Healthy Habitat in the past (with rats, though, not snakes) and I didn't particularly care for it back then... this would have been years ago, though. Does it leave much of a smell nowadays? I remember it always left behind a kind of musty smell...

It does seem like kind of a different smell to me. I wouldn't call it bad, just not perfume-y. I don't like hoe you can't take the sprayer off to get the last little bit out. I've noticed that on many cleaners, though.

I hate the smell of CareFresh. It smells like regurge to me.

I use the clorox wipes with my geckos and snakes without any problems just make sure you have paper towels with you to wipe the cage with after using the clorox wipes and you will be fine, they also save you alot of time when cleaning alot of racks and cages, and congrats on your new little one that will be entering this world soon.

Clorox wipes don't desinfect unless use enough wipes to leave the area visibly wet for at least 4 minutes and let air dry. If you use paper towels right away you might as well safe the money on the clorox wipes and use wet paper towels right away ;-)
