When I set up my 20 gal long terrarium, I plan on having it in my in home office set up on a sturdy laterial file cabinet that is right next to me. I am in my office all day most days. Could this be unnerving to rather secretive cornsnakes, or maybe a good way of getting them used to me?

Mine stay in my bedroom right next to my bed. They haven't complained so far ;) Apart from when my boyfriend leaves his smelly socks next to their tank but thats to be expected!
Sorry, seriously, I don't think it bothers then that much. My newest female always comes out to check whos entered the room but the other 2 just hide most of the day. They come out at night when they think I'm sleeping! I guess it just depends how inquisitive your snake is, but I can't see it doing any great damage to them. As long as the lights go off at some point so they aren't living in constant light they should do fine in my opinion! HTH :D

all good

It will be fine !

My snakes are in my reptile room with some very active gerbils, a noisey 8 inch red eared slider, mice, and a juvienile iguana! And of course me going in and out all day long. They don't care :)

Our tank is in our livingroom, 3 kids and t.v. but she is usually out in evening. You may have to work late. lol.

Hiya,

I also have my snake very close to me all day in my office at home. Due to the fact that i work as a web designer i am in my office most of the day and most evenings too :-( so i get to see his activity and it relaxes me too when i cant figure out somthing or i get stressed out i just sit back and look at my baby (his tank most times since he is sooo lazy). Dont think it has done him any harm and every so often he will stick his head out and watch me as im typing away.

shouldnt be a problem im sure but im no expert.
