I do not have a snake yet but I WILL be getting one. I plan to keep it in my room. Its starting to get warm out so I plan to keep the A.C. on. Can this make the room too cold?
 
Well, You should set up your snake tank with a heating pad to keep one half of the tank warm, about 80-85 degrees and on the other half, cool to about 70-75 degrees. But their a few more things to it than just that.

Not unless you plan on keeping your house temps in the 60s. If you set your a/c to around 75', that'll keep it just about perfect. Mine isn't even that cool, and my snakes do fine.
 
My viv is in my basement, and northern Illinois winters get mighty cold. The only way I am able to keep the cool side warm enough in the winter is by using a heating lamp (heat pad on the warm side). I had a problem with low humidity, but that was easily solved.
