Up all night
I just held my snake for a minute and he feels really cold. He has more than one hide (one warm one cold) and he is usually in the cold one. Could it be hide preference? Should I try putting his preferred hide on the warm side? I know my temps are not ideal, and I will be getting a thermostat very soon and switching to aspen bedding rather than the reptile carpet I am using.
Tank stats: Warm side 91, Air temp 69, Humidity 45%
 
FYI I realize that snakes are cold blooded and will sometimes feel cold but my friend has ball pythons and they feel pretty warm every time I hold them.

A. The warm side in a corn snake cage should be approximately 85 degrees.
B. Your internal body temp is 98.6, so even a 90 degree object may feel cool to the touch.
C. Ball pythons are usually kept around 90-95, so they will feel warmer.
D. Your corn could feel 'forced' to hang out at the cooler end of the tank.
E. Cold blooded does not refer to how they feel, cold blooded refers to how they need to regulate body temperature . . . through their environment.

That pretty much covers it. It is normal for a corn snake to feel cold. I wouldn't worry about it. You can try rearranging your hides to see if she spends more time on the warm side, since snakes definitely show a preference for certain hides. You can also try to get an identical hide for the other side.
