Okay, I've had a pair of corns for over 6 years now and finally decided to have a go with breeding. They produced 12 eggs, all fertile, and I've got them in the incubator at 82F. They're not even due to hatch for several more weeks, but I'm trying to plan ahead for them now. This is my first time with snake eggs, so I'm really anxious.
I want to go in together with a friend or two on a Rodent Pro order in order to split the shipping costs. My question is what should I buy for 12 hatchling corns? How long until they typically graduate from pinkies to fuzzies? I know not all snakes will grow at the same rate. I'm just looking for very general answers from those of you who are experienced breeders or otherwise 'in the know'. Rodent Pro sells pinkies in 100 count bags. I'm guessing that this should last me about 2 months? How many bags of pinks should I anticipate buying? What about fuzzies?
I had another question as well, this one a bit more unusual..
Since this is my first venture with snake eggs, I'd love to find a website or book detailing the development of snake fetuses. I devoured books that documented human fetal development during my first pregnancy and would love to be able to see images of fetal snakes developing while I wait for these babies to hatch. I didn't know if there was such a documentary website or book available so I thought I'd ask about it here.
Thanks, guys.
