Corn snake sizes

I just got three corn snakes, A ghost, snow and amel. They are still young, dont know the exact sizes, but I feed them large pinkies/fuzzies.

Anywho, my quesetion was; Are snakes like fish in the fact that they will only grow to the size of their tanks.

Right now I have the male in his own cage and the two females in another cage. I am planning on building a 12" x 16" X 8" for each of the three snakes, would this be a good idea? comments/suggestions?

No, snakes can't be stunted by their tank size. They will keep growing regardless of how big your tank is.

I feel that this is WAY too small a tank for an adult corn to live in. Is this what you plan to keep them in when they're adults?

The MINIMUM size for a tank is 30x12x12, and many people go much larger.

If you only mean the size you said as a temporary measure, this would suffice for a short time, but the snakes will need much larger enclosures when they reach full size.

Snakes are not like fish, they will out grow their containers. A container that doesn't allow them to stretch enough could cause health problems. My largest corn is ~4ft and still growing. I have heard corns getting up towards 6ft. I would start looking for bigger enclosures for them. You can find great buys at garage sales or flea markets, when people are selling their old aquariums.

I got the measurements from a reptile tank in a local pet store. I made it a bit taller than it was. It looked kind of small, but the guy I bought them off of had them in tubs around the same size.
