This is an artilce which was in the local paper. I found it on the web site so i wouldn't have to copy it myself (no scanner) The refuge which took the corn is agaisnt owner ship of reptiles. I want to volunteer there but they dont like the fact that i own them. Sorry for the ramble

I wouldn't mind taking the snake....
but then I didn't really like that guy that said "This is what happens when an animal that shouldn't be allowed to keep as a pet" (Or something similar.....I can't remember exactly what I read just now....)

"This is what happens when people take on an animal that should never be a pet," said refuge society director Christine Schramm.

I don't like that comment either. They should promote responsible pet ownership, not speak against ANY ownership.

That scares me that people can't tell the difference between a small corn and a boa... Could you imagine these yahoos trying to get it into the box? Probably swinging it in with a broom or something...

I know

sayong its wrong to keep them as pets are going to make more ppl leave them for dead or something like that. They say they need all the help they can get but they wont allow me to volunteer, cuz i own reptiles. I think its ok... i mean we demestocated (sp?) dogs and cats its ok to have reptiles that way too i feel it is somewhat bad to take them out of the wild tho altho i am not totally against it

Such Rubish!!!! The RRR

I can not believe the numbers they are putting out there!!
100% die later from confinment.....3.8% of shipped animals are dead on arrival and many die days later!

I would like to know from the big breeders if the statement about captive breds have many more birth defects and abnormalities than thier wild counterparts? I wouldn't think so.

Some ppl just like causing trouble.......

I cannot believe what I have just read, for start off there a lot more dog's get loose or abandoned by their owner's than corn's and I have yet to hear of a cornsnake killing or maiming anyone, unlike dog's, just have to see the pic's of all them bairn's that have been attacked recently. Don't get me wrong though, I love dog's, when they are looked after properly, I had a retriever for nearly 12 year. But what people don't understand they fear.
