No, Corns don't need UV.

They're not basking reptiles and so have never evolved a dependency on UV in the way that some other reptiles have.
 
^^Sorry for your loss. Was the chameleon death because of the lack of light? Just curious cuz if so the same thing happen to my friends chameleon.

O/T but chameleons are ome of those reptiles that do need UV. If your friend didn't provide it, then that could explain the loss.

The OP did have a UV light for his cham, but it's no longer needed for the proposed Corn.
