I'd hit my 30's before I first owned any reptiles of my own. Always been fascinated by them but work and travel prohibited it previously. Now, less of that and a big house allow us to keep our little zoo of 30 odd! Lucky us.:)

I was 9 or 10 when I got 2 WC Common Garter Snakes. They live 2year then they died. then when i was 14, I got 2 small snake in a pet store. they both escape...And then nothing since last year when first buy an African house snake, then my first corn, and then one more... I have 6 corn now!

My first snake

I got my first snake (an okatee corn) in February of this year. I am a very young 36 year old teenager. I'm looking for more to add to my collection. I am now an addict. Corn Snakes are like potato chips you just can't have 1. :D

I purchased my first snake at age 13, a Ball Python. I can never remember a time I wasn't walking a ditchbank or plunging through dense brush or turning over a log in hopes of finding something with scales on it.

Wait a sec --was I the only one who caught Simons post on Garter snake eggs.
