on the last two inches of my cornsnakes tail there is a dark brownish marking, im wondering if it is a burn or could it be dead skin because he did just shed but i dont know if he shed all the way because the skin didnt look as long as he is

what type of corn is it and can we get a picture? If it is a burn, then what type of heating are you using?

heating and picture

its not possible to get a picture because i dont have a digital camera but i do use an under heater and a heat lamp. i dont see it burrow at all but maybe it does during the night. It is impossible to get to the heat lamp beacause its on a clamp, i dont kno if that will help you figure out what the marking is but im sensing you will say its a burn, if it is, will it come off in its next shed? Thanks a lot
P.S. It is an albino High Pink corn

if there is no way for him/her to wrap around the heat lamp then i doubt that it is a burn. wait a few days and see if the skin comes off and if not we can try to help you more

If it's dead skin, you should give it a bath and try to rub the area lightly. I know that my friend's corn always forgets to shed the end of the tail and she does it in a bath because as the sheds continued it just kept accumulating dead shed skins there.
