Cornsnake not moving???

My Snow cornsnake....Snowflake.....has not been playing around. I NEVER see her out playing or anything. Never seen her drink....play...climb....or even try and get out. WHile Madeira on the other hand....she plays ALL the time at night. I normally stay up untill about 1 to 5 in the morning staying up watching T.V. with the lights off. And I still do not see her coming out and playing. And there are no sighns of here playing either. Like....ok....Madeira, you can tell she has been playing because her shavings are smooth....but Snowflake's shavings are still all rough everywhere.....do you guys know what I mean??? I used to be able to see her climbing in her tree....and trying to get out....but now....none of that stuff is going on. She is eating just fine....she isn't dyhdrated or anything.....and she looks great. Though she is growing very SLOW. I have had her since December and she has only shed once....since I have had her. Is this just her personality....or could something be wrong?

Sounds a little stress, but one of my snake hardly come out now either and I know that my husbandry is good. How bout hides and leaves "ground cover". Is there a lack of it? Is it a hatchling? Having one shed since December is a concern if so. What and how often are you feeding it.

Is the snake getting ready to shed? They tend to be more reclusive around that time.

Nope....she's as bright as snow, lol. And I don't think it is stress because I try not to take her out two much....because she is who she is....I try not to stress her out. And she has a tree looking thing, two cocoanuts and her water bowl. And I feed her f/t pinkies once a week and she used to eat two. But now....when I put a second one in there. She wants nothing to do with it....she eats like SUPER SLOW,lol.

I don't know what people call hatchling....but IMO....she isn't one. She is about 6 months old. I got her from a pet store....Petsmart.

I not sure why your snake isn't comming out. I like I say maybe it's just the snake personality. :shrugs: Are the snake near each other? Mine are on top of each other so I know that each have the same environment. If that make sense. What are you temps with snowflake?.
But You might want to bump up the feeding to a fuzzy, but feed two pinky first for a few feeding than one fuzzy.

It could be her personality, or a number of things. (BTW, it's better to feed her in a seperate container so she doesn't swallow any bedding.) What kind of heat source do you use? What type of bedding? Does she look dehydrated? I had a little guy that needed help finding his water. (Weird huh?) Is she in a hugh traffic area where she might be stressed? She is still a baby, so may take a while to get used to her new environment. What size viv/tank? She might feel overwhelmed. .... It could be a number of things, or nothing.
I have a couple of snakes that are roaming around a lot, and a couple that just don't. (And many in between.)

Ok.....well. She has a one of the heaters that go under the tank. Can't think of the name right now, lol. And I do feed her in a seperate tank with newpaper on the bottom. And I have aspen shavings in both my snake tanks, no she doesn't look dehydrated, and she is in the most quietest room in the house. Which is my room, lol. And her being a Snow....I couldn't really tell if she was shedding or not. BUT....the day I posted this on here, SHE SHED!!!! She is a slow lil booger at growing......but she did shed....YAY :crazy02: :crazy02: :crazy02: !!!! And after that...I even caught her out pllaying last night. Even trying to get out....now that's my girl, lol. Though she has and always will be different from Madeira. Snowflake would rather curl in you hand and go to sleep. And Madeira want to EXPLORE hahaha!!!! That's what I love about have two snake. You never know what your going to get, lol. Or even more snakes for some of y'all, lol.

What a great resolution! You can see how a bunch of factors can effect her - but all she needed was a good shed.
I also love how they have different personalities. All my snakeys do. My Vixen acts like a cobra until I pick her up - then she's fine. My Delilah is always out and wanting to be held.

Depending on how much you see him. If you see him only once your out of school or something like that. He may do it either at night, or when your out doing something.
