Hey you guys i have seen alot of people around the repile shops wearing "converse allstars" they have the little star on the side and they are all diffrent colors. I asked a guy there why everyone had them and what i had missed out on,i thought i missed out on somthing becouse i am private schooled and all. But you see he said it means you have reptiles,or are tough enough to have reptiles. Does anyone know what they mean becouse only some people wear them,And obviously if its a symble like hey i smoke weed i wont get them but if its reptiles or somthing i may get some. Iv worn some befor when i was young and hen i dint care about brands. Now i dont care about brands and i was wondering if they had anything to do with snakes or somtin.

wel hehe just saw some on tv,if ya know post :)

I dont know about the shoes, but i do know there are keychains and necklaces with vairous reptiles on them that mean you have or atleast love reptiles.

Whoa...this is something new to me... Anyone?

Who would think to associate shoes with reptiles? I think someone is pulling your leg... or maybe they are cheap shoes and it shows that we spend too much money on our snakes...LOL

Thay are chucks!

Converse Shoes = Repiles Poll....

I wonder how many reptile owners at some point in their life owned converse shoes? I did. I used to wear them all the time. Course, I had pink ones. For me, it was more an "art related" ideal not at all related to reptiles. 10 years hence... I now own snakes.

So.. I guess you could say

Con's = Reptiles
but
Reptiles not = to Con's

Or something like that...

The topic may make an interesting lil poll of uber geeky reptiledom.

LOL ! Have to say I owned Corns long before I owned Converse Allstars, but now I'm addicted to both. My latest pair of Allstars have Chinese dragons on them, so I guess that's kind of a reptile link.

Time was, wearing baseball boots just meant you were in The Ramones....

Cheers

Wooooooaaaaaahhhhh.

I had a pair of Converse when I was thirteen, They where brilliant but never as popular as Nike, Addidas or Reebok.

I am now 27, just shows how some things stickwith us, I have only had my corn for about 6-8 weeks.

B-j@y, I think Converse are mainly basketball boots, but they did make some really good trainers in the UK 10-15 years ago. I remember mine cost me £50 nearly fifteen years ago.

£50! Here, Converse is relatively inexpensive as far as shoes go. Maybe they were selling a different type of shoe in the UK market. Or maybe they had the expensive ones here 15 years ago, too, and I just wasn't paying any attention.

When I was in Jr. High about 8 years ago, EVERYONE wore allstars and one-stars, but they were originally popular in the 70s, I think? I wore my one-stars for 5 years until the soles FELL OFF!! They are just comfy cheap shoes. Oh and Kurt Cobain shot himself in some, maybe they are just shoes for punks. I saw some one-stars in a store for $50 a couple weeks ago, what a rip-off. I can remember when they went out of style after grunge started to decline and Kohl's was getting rid of them for like $10.

Anyway, I never heard of the reptile thing. Corns don't care what you wear as long as you feed 'em and heat 'em, although I could understand if they had an aversion to snakeskin boots!!
