Could she be a he...or just in need of a poo?

Haya Tha'baan

my little worm
When I take Haya out for some handling, it always seems nowadays that she has to poop. I guess that she has to go because of the bulge before the tail. I don't know if that's an accurate way to tell, but it seems that when she has a bulge, she goes. When she doesn't, she doesn't!

But like I said, it looks like she always has to go lately. Then I looked at my corn snake book and forgot that one way of sexing is to look at the tail. So I was wondering if instead of having to always use the little girls room, she'd actually be using the little boy's room.

Here's a few bad pictures:

She's still pretty young, only a year old, and I know that probing is the best way to tell. I was just wondering if there's any educated guesses out there that would let me know if I should anticipate an accident each time, or if she is simply a he.

Could you show a full body-length picture, from above? I'm not too sure but to me she looks a little bit overweight, with the start of 'hips'

Looks like it needs to defecate. Definately not gravid. But a full length body shot would be more helpful anyways.

Yep, does a look a bit over weight. But that bulge near the vent is a good indicator that your snake is due to defecate.

She doesn't look overweight to me, and the bulge that might indicate the sex of the snake is below the vent, not above as your snake shows. And since your snake looks to have a quick tapering of the tail after the vent, continue to consider it a female until breeding season proves otherwise.
