Cream and ghost? snow?

CreamsicleCornFan

The Olafian Terror
I am a long time corn fan new to breeding. What would a clutch from a creamsicle and a ghost give me? or what about the cream and a snow?

I dont know what you would expect from the clutch, try serpwidgets site on genetics for that...

Just remember that because creams are technically hybrids, the offspring should be labeled as such. :sidestep:

Creme X ghost = normal looking offspring, hetero. for amel, anery A and hypo

Creme X snow = amel offspring, hetero. for anery A and hypo

Basically a creamsicle is an amelanistic corn/emory hybrid. All offspring from a hybrid are hybrids. Genotypically, treat it like an amel.

Assuming that none of your animals are carrying any genes we don't know about, you'd expect the following:

Amel (hybrid) x Snow
= Amel x Amel/Anery
= Amels het for anery (corn/emory hybrids)
= "Creamsicles" het anery

Amel (hybrid) x Ghost
= Amel x Anery/Hypo
= Normals het for amel, anery, and hypo (corn/emory hybrids)
= "Rootbeers" het amel, anery, and hypo

Or, if you wish to use symbols:

aa.aa, An+.An+ X aa.aa, ana.ana = aa.aa, An+.ana

aa.aa, An+.An+, H+. H+ X A+.A+, ana.ana, hh.hh = A+.aa, An+.ana, H+.hh
