Cricket in Poo??

I fed my 6 mo. old corn tonight, and while she was finishing up eating, I decided to clean her cage. I was scooping up her poo and saw something unusuall. Upon closer inspection, there was what looked to be a half digested cricket!!

I have read the arguments on whether or not corns should be fed crickets and have always felt that they should never be a food item.

When I got the snake, I felt she was awfully small to have been born aug. '03 (only 8-9in long and 3/4cm in diameter). Is it possible the breeder was feeding crickets, and this is why she was so small?

I've had her for a little more than 3 weeks, but she was actually purchased from the breeder about 5 weeks ago. Is it possible for her to still have a cricket in her system?

Are there any other things I should be worried about with this? Am I being overly paranoid with this? :(

As long as the snake is behaving normally, I wouldn't worry. There isn't much that can be done about it now anyway. ;)

You will probably never know if it was intentinally feed a cricket. There could certainly be other explainations. Do you know if the breeder keeps other reptiles? If they also have lizards, it is possible that a stray cricket found its way into a snake enclosure.
