Crush's Progression Thread

Ok, many of these have been posted up in different threads...but I figured it was time to go ahead and start Crush his own little progression thread!
So here he is!
Just some side notes incase you haven't seen his other threads..
I am not sure of his sex, but for the sake of not calling him an "it", I decided he was a boy until proven otherwise :)
He is an Amel, and he is a couple months old now...sorry no weight on him yet, picking up a scale Friday...payday lol

This is a comparison shot, it's a crappy photo, but this is one of those fake tree hides from PetSmart, just so you can kind of see how long he is..

These next three are from his 2nd feed with me...not the one he regurged, the one before that...

Enjoy! Like everyone else on here, I love to snap some shots of my little guy whenever I can, but since he regurged, I won't be handling him for a bit until he is better...but I will put up some feed pics of him chowing down on some pinkie parts...

Thanks man...ya I got him at a petshop, which now that I know the prices at shows...I'll probably never buy another snake from a petshop...but at the shop they had regulars and amels...and of the two I thought the Amels were pretty interesting:)

Lucky. I wish there were shows around here. At least if there are, I don't know about them. I guess I could make a weekend trip sometime to go to one! I have always wanted to go and see what they are like.

Amarillo would be the closest place I would check first, may have to go all the way in to Dallas....and no I had no clue where Lubbock, TX was, lol...had to Mapquest:)
I am out for now, gotta rest up before work, but I'll be back on around 10:30pm...my time...(it's 6:10pm for me right now)

Yeah Amarillo is where I am originally from..I moved to Lubbock to go to school at Texas Tech..go Red Raiders! (Hence the snake names...Red and Raider!)

I don't know of any that go on in Amarillo, but then again I don't know how I would know about them anyways.

Is there like a place to go to find that stuff out?

Alright talk to you then.

***UPDATE***
Crush took half of a 1 gram pinkie today...he regurged just over a week ago...but he did great, went after it like he'd not eaten in years (even though he's only months old:))
I will be checking in on him hourly to look for regurge...let's hope I don't find anything!

SUCCESSFUL POPPING!!!
I was so excited to find out the "he" is a he! It was easier than I ever thought, and it took barely any pressure...and out popped two little hemipenes! I never thought I'd be so happy to see a couple tiny little snake penises...:roflmao: !!!!

And honestly it was 10x easier to tell on Crush (13 grams) than it was to tell on Sniper (116 grams)!

-Josh

And to tommymamba...he was in blue at the time of those photos, but wouldn't have known for my life...lol...now I have read about some ways to "kinda" tell when he is in blue. And have also read that it gets MUCH easier to tell with age...but he had a perfect full shed on 02/20...I should have put that in this thread and not made another one, but oh well :)

Woo! Congrats!
I've wanted to try popping on my little ones, but I'm too scared I would apply too much pressure or not enough or...blah blah blah.
Haha
But anyways, congrats!

Dude, I was barely rolling, and the hemipenes popped out! I was really surprised!
I will do it again real quick when Courtney gets home and have her take a close up pic...

This is a video of Ralph Davis teaching how to pop (skip to 1:00 into it and he starts the popping part) and probe BPs...same method of popping for Corns, just less pressure (atleast it took less for mine)
I watched this about 3 or 4 times and gave it a shot...and it worked! You should try it...my little guy didn't even mind :)
Good luck!

Sweet! Thanks Josh. I'm gonna watch it and try it on my lil ones. I have to wait till tomorrow because I juts fed them on Friday and I don't wanna stress them out before they have fully digested.

The funniest part was....normally when I handle him, he is very good...sometimes a little flighty, but he is a baby...so that should be expected...

After I popped him, he slithered between my fingers and just hung out until I put him up...he was kinda looking around like:
"Hey! Aren't you going to buy me dinner after that?"

Sorry Crush...dinner is two nights away :)

Two pics...first one he snuck his head back around while I was popping him, so we figured if we were going to take glory shots of him, we should atleast take one of his face :) Second on is his hemipenes, you dont' have to roll them out very far to see them at all...good luck, and I hope this helps!
