I had a search through the posts on here to see peoples' opinions of cypress mulch, and there seems to be some fairly positive responses.

Do any of you have any horror stories about cypress? Or know of any potential reasons why it can't be used? (other than the obvious of checking it's not been treated with anti-parasite or other chemicals).

Does anybody have any pics of their enclosures using Cypress Mulch as the substrate?
 
I've been using it for a while with no problems. it holds moisture well and smells pretty good too. Very cheap and easy to work with. All my corns are doing well and love to burrow in it.

I use it as well --No problems at all. I really like aspen, but for as many tubs as I have, it's kinda cost prohibitive. You hit on the most important thing, that is insectacide treatment. I don't use it for hatchlings. I found paper towel a little easier to monitor there waste and feeding cycles.
