I feed mine prekilled... alot easier I think then thawing them out and then feeding them... plus I breed my own mice so prekilled is the way I go... I use to feed live but after a little mouse snake fight... I decided that prekilled is the best...

yep like everyone said, cheaper, easier, and SAFER for my snake which is the most important thing to me :)

thawed.

only takes about 15 minutes for pinkies to thaw and it's well worth the time considering what COULD happen if u fed live. Although pinkies pose no threat it's good to get them started on prekilled.

From the experience that I got last time when I adopted the little hatchling ball pyton,
definately I am sticking with F/T!!!

Dead.

For many reasons.

1. It's cheaper.

2. It's convient. i.e. no need to feed and house the mouse.

3. It's safer for the snake if it doesn't feel like eating.

4. It's safer for the snake even if it does want to eat it.

5. There is no real need to feed a captive snake live food. It doesn't work like that.

6. It's less distressing for the snake.

7. It's less distressing for me.

8. Sending a live mouse to the sloughter is cruel. Even if it is to feed your treasured snake.

9. They can be buyed in bulk.

10. They're easily stored in the freezer till needed so have no life span.

11. You can readily choose your size of mouse for the snake your feeding.

...need I go on?

I feed pre-killed, just like Jr Nimeskern i've got my own litle breeding farm for mice!! Got them for free! including the cage and mice!! works out just fine!
