Decor

The Dollar Store sometimes has plastic or silk vines, otherwise I purchase stuff on eBay. The plastic aquarium plants are perfect, and easy to clean. The taller ones lean over and create ground cover, the little guys love it.

I picked up some river rocks from our yard, the really colorful ones that don't have sharp edges, and some driftwood. I have some seashells too. All of these I boiled in water with a capful of bleach, rinsed really well and then baked at 250° for about 20 minutes.

Other than that, get creative! Look at garage sales, or around your house for something that would look cool. Just make sure it is sealed or well cleaned if it is porous.

Check Craigslist or kijiji for used hides and decor and just clean them thoroughly. The dollar stores also often sell bamboo that looks pretty neat.

I've seen people use old boxes, like that most recent package or an old tissue box. Just cut a hole in it. Can't get much cheaper than that.

Craft stores have nice fake plants and are sometimes cheaper than pet stores. I've even bough discount damaged plants. I cut off the bad parts - the snake doesn't mind.

I have made homes and lofts from wood and tile bought at a hardware store. Hot glue is some amazing stuff.

I bought floral sprigs, Ivy vines at the local craft store at 60% off plus coupons always good to check discount bins etc, and if you can get a coupon for everything off in store, grab a glue gun, got mine for less then $2 on sale from Michaels with couponing
