Whats a good rule of thumb when it comes to the depth of the water you have in your bowl? I just noticed my snake all the way in the bowl. I wondered if maybe I should have it where his body can be completly submerged. Or if I should leave it so have his body is underwater that way he could rest his head on himself. Whats a good depth? (The bowl is dog dish about 3-4 inches high.
 
i have always read / been told that the snake should be able to submerge itself completely. this way it gives them the chance to do whatever they want. it helps with shedding and scale care. :twoguns:
 
In general the snake should be able to completely curl up in the water. I wouldn't worry too much about the snake drowning or anything like that. They can swim very well, and in the event of the snake curling up in the bowl, most seem to have enough sense to keep their heads up. :grin01:

Is your snake coming up to a shed?
 
I dont know if its gonna shed or not. I just got it. While it slithers on me and I get a grip on it, sometimes it feels like one little party is flaky. But I dont see any kind of skin coming up or anything.
