I just went to feed my baby tonight and found that he wasn't in the cage! I tore my room apart and he is definately not there. I've looked in the furnace in case he fell there through the duct work. I don't know where else to look now. Are they huge climbers? He's never had anything really to climb much in his cage. Would he climb to the top of the bookshelf or closet or something? Those are pretty much the only two places I haven't looked. Is there anything I can do to lure him out of the duct work if he's in there? I don't even know how to go about checking if he were there or not!! I'm getting frantic!!!!!!!!!!

Calm down a tad, snakes get out all the time and show up a week or a month later without any harm done. Do some searches on the forum because there are a lot of posts about this and people have had some great advice. Corns are natural climbers, so it is likely that the little guy is hanging out above your head. Also, recheck the places you've looked because he probably moved since you first looked.

My female corn got lose in my van, I looked every were but nothing. I gave up after looking for 5 hours. I waited an hour after then looked once more, I found her under the drivers seat curled up in the smallest place. If I moved my seat at all back or forward I would have killed her but thank god I didnt. So what Im saying is that your snake is probably somewere you already looked. They like small areas.

It has happened to the best of us. Do a search for lost snakes and you'll find a plethora of info. FWIW, I've found all but one of mine near ground level.

yeah ive ost a couple of my snakes at some point of owning them. lol. i have always ended up finding them in my dresser drawer curled up in my clothing or in my pillowcase curled up, it wasnt until i went to bed, layed on my pillow and felt him. haha. they do like small, warm dark places. so there your best chance of finding him.
but like everyone has saod do a search there are tons of ways you can track him down, theres everything on these forums. good luck
:)

I dont know if this would work with a corn snake but i used to have a garter snake and i play guitar... So whenever i would play my guitar the snake would come out from hinding.... Ive heard on T.V. that the snakes are attracted to the low sound frequency.. If your having trouble finding it get a stereo, turn the bass way up and turn the volume up and see if it will come out.Make sure its really low sounding, (not high pitched) It should be attracted to the bassy sounds.. Again im not sure if it will work but if your desperate you should try it.

thanks so much guys! I guess I over reacted a little. Anyway, my mom found him in my dresser drawer curled in my pj's :) (I had to go away for the weekend) As you can guess I was incredibly relieved when I heard that he was safe. Man, I feel like a new parent. :S
