Ok, I am not that new at breeding my corns(Thanks to all the people here that have helped me. But This is the first time I have ever started opening her container, because I saw the egs were in it and to find out that she still had one that was not fulley out of her.
I started to move the container out of the cage, with her in it. I then opend it and noticed that she had moved all the moss to one side and layed them on the plastic bottum. I think some of them may have moved. So I was trying to get her out and she was makeing her body flat on the ground to ware I could not get my fingers under her. She flinched each time my fingers touched her. And then after about the 4th try. I saw that there was a egg half way out of her. This is her third batch. And I only count 19 eggs.
I did not take the eggs out. I put the lid back on and put her and her container back in the cage and took the guy out. After holding the guy for about 30 minutes I whent to put him back and noticed that she was not in the container anymore. She had moved out of it and under a towl I have always given my snakes as a shelter.
Today was a hard day at work so I am a bit tired. So just in case I did not make sence above. This is the problem...
#1 Some of the eggs roled when I picked up the container.
(I was told to move the eggs to the incabater the same way thay are layed in the nest box)
#2 I touched the girl and she flinched and I moved her body a bit, trying to pick her up (never did though), And then noticed that a egg was still comeing out of her.
Did I hurt her? Or is all that going to make her egg bound? Did she suck it back up in her? And the eggs that rolled... Are they done for? Or do they still have a chance?
I have never delt with her while she was laying the eggs.... In the past it was like the next day or 2 days after she had layed them, that I then noticed them and took them out.
What was the temp I should incabate the eggs under? I forgot. I had it set up for the past week at 75 - 80*.
1 more thing... My mom is a bit over emotional when it comes to the girl snake... She and I fight about weather we need to take the dad snake out after she layes the eggs. She said that she needs to rest and I told her that I have seen breeders just leave them together and they just act out nature and leave eachother alone. Who is right? I need to know... I dont think she is thick enough for a second clutch right away. It may kill her.
