DIY idea and help

I have been into fish as much as I have been into snakes. But I have always had snakes. But one thing I cant really recall is what type of epoxy is safe for fish and now.. snakes for that matter?

When I was younger I wanted my local rocks in my fishtanks for decoration. And a man told me that it had to be 100% silicone or something like that. And at the time I was able to cover all the rocks I found with this epoxy and put them into the fishtanks.

But now all I have is snakes and in the first eddition of "The Cornsnake Manual" I saw a picture of a papertowl toob, cut in half. So the snakes can pick what side of the cage it wants to hide for its ideal temprature.

So what I need help with is knowing what type of epoxey I can use that will be safe for the snake and still make my idea look natural.

My plan is to get a large 4" pice of PVC toobing about the length of the cage and cover it with a bunch of small rocks or evin sand (if I can). And leave each end or just one end open. This way the snake can choose what side of the cage it wants to hide and I wont have a ugly white pice of PVC in the tank.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or know what type of Epoxy I can use?

Thank you and I hope you find my idea a good one that you can also use.

You can use silicone, it comes in clear, brown, black. Make sure you let it cure long enough that you don't smell the vinegar smell it has.

Make sure if you use silicone its the one for fish tanks I think I read on here that other types are not safe.
