do mice musk?

I got a live mouse as a feeder today. I have a jeep and it's not a smooth ride and on the way home the mouse soiled(only liquid)the box it was in. it smelled really bad, and the snake refused to eat it. it smelled up my room and i swear i still smell it on my hand even though i've wash it several times. do mice musk when they are afraid, does it normaly smell that bad, or maybe the snake wasn't hungry or secure yet...it's a newly aquired snake and this was my first attempt at feeding.

They do not musk...

Their urine though has a very strong smell...

You also should be offering f/t or p/k to the animal. Feeding live puts the snake at unneeded risk.

ok, thanks
I know not to feed live....It wasn't a corn, but i didn't post that before b/c I didn't wanna get heat for talking about another kind of snake on the corn snake forum. But honestly this is the best forum for any reptile that I have found so far.
