Do you feed live or frozen?

Do you feed live or frozen rodents?

I feed frozen/thawed to everything. Except, of course, for my spoiled little bloodred female. She ignores f/t, and will only eat live if I hold the darn thing in my fingers for her. The breeder said she would feed from his hand, but I sure never thought that it would be the only way she'd feed!

Silly, spoiled snake!

I voted for always frozen as it was the closest option for me. I've never fed live but I used to breed my own feeders and they would have their necks very quickly snapped and be tossed in the feeding tub with the waiting snake...often whilst still twitching. My reasons for killing the mice myself were based on not having to put the poor little prey mouse through any more terror than absolutely necessary before it's death as well as reducing/eliminating risk of mouse attack caused by an uninterested snake or a badly aimed strike.

I always feed f/t (with the exception of once, just for pure curiosity's sake with a particularly aggressive snake) simply because I have neither the time, nor room for a mouse colony right now. I also find that I can order a year (or more) of frozen mice, and not worry about feeding and cleaning up after 2 sets of animals. This is especially nice since I find that mammals tend to be dirtier than reptiles. ;) I'm biased too, hehehehehe....
