Hi Guys I have just brought some 'Exo-Terra snake vines.

I need some ideas on how to attach them to the viv?? It needs to be sturdy as my eldest corn is HUGE (as shown in pics i have posted)
But also something that enables me to remove the vines for cleaning, as they are bound to poop on them !!

Any ideas with pic of other users of these vines...cheers guys

There's no real way to attach them and it depends on the size of the viv. We have them too and they just stay up applying pressure to the sides. You can shape them to stay on the ground as well, and cover with plants.

One suggestion might be is to purchase suction cups with hooks and hook the vine in them.

Thanks guys.. I was thinking of the suction cups..not too sure where i can get them from tho !!?? B&Q, Homebase ???

I want them quite high up so that Bigs can climb & get more excersise as I have been told he is too fat ??!!

cheers

Maybe try a pound shop? you can usually get suction cups there and they'd probably work just as well as more expensive ones from homebase

picture hooks also work... or like hook and eye fastenings...

screw them into the side and twist them attached..

np, i am addicted to the stuff... although i use tubs for growing on young corns, i scarifice numbers for height, and so use rack boxes that are about a foot high...

this means i can weave a network of vines and fake plants into the top 6 inhesc of space...

corns are suprisingly aboreal when given the choice!

with the tubs, i just poke it through the sides, they love to climb about on it..

I have those vines in both my snakes tanks. I made spurs (my little corn) to sit in the corners at the top and curved the bottom and put a little weight on it so i knew it would stay. I also used a Y-Shaped pattern in my boas tank. And then wrapped a piece of green vine around it.
