Does anyone have an opinion on these racks?

Old enough to know better
Here is the description of them. The shelves are adjustable and I would cut the number of shelves to 4, maybe 3 if there isn't enough room above the viv.

Has anyone used these and what is the general consensus?

I have one for storage in the basement and one for beer and soda stock at our Billiard Hall. Assembly and functionality is great. I would think they would be fine with front opening Viv's..

Thanks Daddio, but that's the thing! I have all glass aquarium tanks. I was planning on using only 3 or 4 of the shelves to give each tank more height above it. I don't have any front opening vivs.

I also found these, they are the 4 shelf that I was going to use by not using two of the shelves from the bigger one!

I just need to be sure that a 10 gallon and a 20L will fit vertically with no problems getting the lids off the vivs.

I don't know if I have exactly those, but I have something very similar for my glass tanks. Mine don't have wheels though. I have four 20 gallon longs stacked on each rack and they work really well. Front opening tanks would work the best for those racks, but only one of mine is front opening, so I put it on the top shelf. I do use a step ladder to reach inside the top tank. But they've been completely sturdy, easy to set up and it's a great option for having a lot of tanks!

Yay! As long as I get your stamp of approval I will get them. How many shelves and how tall are yours? What is the height between each shelf? I know there are so many companies that make these, some with casters or not, and different shelf patterns with the metal.

I'll have you guys over for dinner once the snake room is totally set up and the living room doesn't look like a tornado hit it.

These are my two racks. I believe they are about 6 feet tall. I have a yardstick on the left of the photo so you can judge the size:

The tanks each have about 5 inches above them for me to be able to reach into them:

The racks I have are completely adjustable and really easy to set up. They have these little black clippy things that you can clip into place wherever you want, and then you slide the shelf over top of them. When I set up my first rack, I placed the bottom shelf on first, as low as it could go, placed the empty tank on top of the shelf and then tried to just gauge how much room I would need to be able to reach in. I put the next shelf on, and then tried reaching in and adjusted the second shelf accordingly. I found 5 inches in between the tanks is just enough room, but more room would probably be better.

These two racks both came with 5 shelves, but I could not fit the fifth shelf on without compromising the space in between the tanks, so I can only fit four tanks on each rack.

Let me know if you want any more pictures or anything!

YES!!! That is exactly what I was looking for! Off to Amazon...

Thanks, lady!

I bought these at Lowes. I only have half set up. the other half can be added to the top or used separately. I'm really happy how they turned out. I liked the wood shelf instead of the metal

The reason for my metal choice is for airflow under the viv. On a flat surface you can't get any circulation of the hot air. All you need are some plastic bottle tops glued to each corner of the bottom of the viv and you have 4 "feet" that raise the viv up to aid circulation.
