Early winter = early ovulation?

Ovulation can't always be felt though, so don't just rely on feeling them. But once you do know the right feel it makes it much easier to feel it even with some of the bigger girls. I find the hardest ones to feel are the real solid girls, by solid I mean the ones that are is great physical shape with little to no "flab" if that makes sense? They are more muscle than anything, they can hide things VERY well. I have a few girls I don't even hope to feel ovulate because they are so firm even when they are relaxed there is really no give in them at all.

That's my experience too. My smallest female was shorter than usual (from a small bloodline), but stocky and muscular - not a spare ounce on her. Not only could I not tell when she was ovulating, I could rarely tell whether she was even gravid.

On the other extreme, my Bloodred has nightmare ovulations every year. The last third of her bloats up visibly and when you pick her up she feels like a sock full of pool balls. I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must be. She even stops eating and goes into a shed cycle as though she's gravid. After a couple of months the swelling and lumps dissipate, she starts eating again and she goes back to normal. I tried mating her for a few years but she never actually became gravid, even with a proven male.
