Wanted: Jasper Co Okeetee
OK..I searched the forums and I couldn't find an exact answer. So here goes:

What two morphs do I need to breed in order to get a reverse okeetee?

Thanks!

Reverse Okeetee is the amelanistic form of an Okeetee, so you have an amel with thick white borders. You have to breed together 2 reverse Okeetees, or a couple of Okeetees, het for amelanism to get a shot at that.

Basically, it's a line bred trait. To produce Reverse Okeetees without taking the years to develop that coloring, you should start out with a pair of Reverse Okeetees.

Ok..I fiqured the reverse x reverse would get me reverse hatchlings. So basically, I need 2 okees het for amel to get a shot at a few reverse hatchlings.

I know that reverse okeetee is a amel morph but I wasn't sure how I would get one. I already have a amel so I was thinking I could mate him with something else to get a reverse okeetee.

Is this the only way to get a reverse okee?

Thanks for the reply!

Howie,

Reverse Okee's are selectively bred amels. Same as say, candy canes and sunglows.

As Princess stated, you can breed two reverse Okee's together but beware that you may not get exactly what you are looking for. It's a crapshoot, per se.

Thanks Quigs!

I was just curious on how to produce a couple of them.

No probs, Howie.

I think the easiest route would be to get a pair of really NICE reverse Okee's, maybe even siblings. That might increase your chances a bit to thrown what you are looking for in a first generation but like I said it's still not 100% guaranteed.

It can be done other ways for sure, but your looking at the long haul or some damn good luck!

Good luck to ya!
