Ghost is a very dark
I'd also say it looks like a pretty little Anery. If the pictures show the true colours he is way too dark to be a ghost...IMHO. But he sure is pretty and I love the cute head pattern which looks like a ghost - even though the snake itself isn't a ghost.![]()
No ghost? That's odd. He has the same light-medium gray (not black) checkered belly that my hypos (Silverqueen and Sunkisseds) had a long time ago. Do some non-hypos have the gray belly too? (I'm confused, but it's been a while, so....)
I tried to take some photos of the gray belly checks, but the outdoor light was strong today. I had to stand in the shadows for most of the shots. (Same problem as yesterday, so I auto-corrected in the free Picture It! program yesterday. The new photos are untouched except for cropping, of course. One day I'll learn to take photos outside. LOL)
Thanx,
Christopher

If it is a ghost it sure is dark as an Anery... If you check these links you'll see what a ghost hatchling should look like:

Usually ghost and anery are the easiest tell apart when they're still hatchlings. Aneries are dark grey - almost black - and ghosts are paler grey. As they grow up, ghosts can become darker and aneries lighter when they're more difficult to identify. Even as an adult dark ghosts and pale aneries are extremely similar - so seeing them as babies AND test breeding are really the only ways for identifying them for sure.
