egg question

i recently posted on here about my dimpling/caved in eggs and i got some good responses back on what i needed to do. my question now is, since the humididty level is good in my incubator and the eggs now appear to be on the right track, should i expect the eggs to "un-dimple" or get fuller again or will they remain permanently dimpled even though they are in good condition or if they remain dimpled, does that mean that i have lost the egg? sorry i'm asking so many questions but i'm new and this was unexpected and i want to make sure that i am doing everything i can to ensure the best possible health of these eggs. thanks!

I've always found that the eggs lose their dimples with the right amount of moisture if they're still good. The ones that stay dimpled often go bad, but I give them plenty of time before I give up.

It will take a bit for them to become un-dimpled. Just keep the humidity up for them.

thanks for your replies! i checked this morning and it looks like only two of the 7 that were caved in are still dimpled, but they are looking better. thanks for all your help!

Also, remember some dimpling close to hatching time is normal. Close to the 55-60 day hatching period, depending on temperature that you have the eggs set at. But if the dimpling is happening several weeks before hatching time then you probably have a moisture issue , as the others have talked about.

Good luck.
