Hi and welcome.
Rich was correct if your snake was labeled rootbeer it is a hybrid corn: a normal x to a creamsicle (a creamsicle is an amel corn x to emoryi rat). Normal x Cream = rootbeer

I think so and so do some breeders on here, but there are also the hybrid dislikers. If you intend on ever breeding you would have to put hybrid. FYI if you breed two rootbeers you may get a morph called cinnamin, they are actually that coloration.
