hey guys, im so worried right now. my yearling has been gone since friday night. i keep my corns at the elementary school where i work so i take them home on christmas break. i have all three of them packed in a box with a lid. while i was loading all my stuff into my car i left the box on a table in the class room. i didnt check the box before i put it in the car. (i feel so stupid for that):headbang: so when i got hme and started unloading my snake was gone! i looked everywhere im my car and ive been goin back to the school to chek around and set sum traps. its been raining and very cold here everyday so i dont think she would even try to go outside. she either got out in the car or vbefore i even left the classroom. im so bummed. please help. i put a bottle trap in there and also i saw sumone posted that you could use sticky mouse traps and oil. i put a trap next to each heater and a bottle trap behind the fridge. i just wanna find my lil giggz.
 
Please don't use any of those sticky mouse traps, you'll never get him off, cheap masking tape works good cause you can get it off of the snake. Make sure and look up also and put water out.

im almost ready so i can go chek and if she isnt already traps ill remove the sticky traps and put tape traps. i think i would freak out if i couldnt get her off a sticky trap.
 
Good luck! I live in Fresno too and I really hope your little one didn't get outside because it has been very cold and raining. Yea, I second to use masking tape instead of sticky traps. Make sure you put them along the walls because they tend to stay closer to the walls. Let us know how it goes!

i agree with this, i had sticky mouse traps out, when my hatchling got out a few months ago, guess who got stuck to it ?
if your snake gets stuck to a sticky mouse trap tho, you need to use cooking oil and he will come right off

I heard the same thing Paul said...if you use mouse traps cooking oil will remove them without any harm. Never had to try anything like this....yet lol.

One tip I do have that I personally use are tie straps, like straps you would use to hold boxes down in a truck or like the ones on a refrigerator dolly. I grabbed a 4 pack of them from Home Depot for like $8 and they work like a charm ! Knock on wood !

Good Luck finding her....hopefully you'll get an early Christmas present !

mine stopped eating once this happen for about a month but shes ok now, as long as their jaw doesn't get stuck to it they will be ok
 
ok so i put her hide on the floor under her heat lamp with sum of her bedding. hopefully she goes in to hide and ill find her chilling there tomorow when i go to check the classroom again. thnx for all the help! let me kno if you have any other ideas for me.

Someone else was recently looking for a lost snake and someone gave probably the best idea I have ever heard....take a couple bags of flour and spread it all over the floor where the snake could be...it might not physically catch her but you'll be able to tell if she was around there and maybe with some luck she will leave you a trail to where she's hiding. IMHO this is a brilliant idea...I forget who said it but kudos to them and I hope they don't mind me relaying it.

i like the flour idea too but i cant do it on carpet. but im getting ready to head over to the school again and see if the hide idea worked.
