Evil hateling

Did I mention EVIL? I am talking about my male butter stipe Chomper. I am at my wits end with him. I will admit that my life has been a total train wreck this last month and I haven't had a lot of patients for man nor beast, but tonight I kind of had a "give me a feicken break" moment. I was moving the snakes to the new house and transfering them to thier feeding bins went smooth until it was his evilness's turn. Of course he immediatly bit me, drawing blood from the two quick bites he delivered. I mean seriously I can't win with him. I handle him at least 4 to 5 times a week and he bites the entire time I am handling him. He's gorgeous but beauty only gets you so far. Lol. I have had him for months now and all the handling hasn't made a bit of change. I end up asking myself if I really want a snake that I cannot handke without being bitten the whole time. Ugh!

Does he bite everyone or just you? I have a snake that hates my boyfriend and he has one that hates me. No reason for them to hate us but they just do. Some snakes can be picky that way.

I am the only one in my family who really handle my snakes. My daughter will one certain ones when I have them out sometimes because they are so calm and laid back and have been from day one. This one scares the beejeebiez out of her.

Is he smelling something on your hands? You could try switching your soap. I've noticed that my snakes like pink/red nail polish and my snow really likes the scent of cherry blossoms. Another trick I did one my last hateling was to turn of his uth for half an hour or so before picking him up. He may be too hot as it is.
