Exo-Terra Rainforest UTH on Plastic??

Hello,

I just purchased an Exo-Terra Rainforest UTH with the idea of sticking it to the bottom of a Rubbermaid tub. However, I just read the instructions and it says to only use it with glass. I could have sworn others have used it on Rubbermaid or similar items. Could you please let me know if this can be done or not.

Thanks.

There's a thread around here that has all of the melting temps of plasic, I'm just too lazy to go find it . I do know that UTHs don't get half as hot as the lowest temp, so no need to worry. UTHs do get too hot for corns though, so I would suggest buying a thermostat or rheostat (dimmer) to control the temps. There's a thread about how to make your own dimmer too, but once again I'm too lazy :p
