22 is not enough snakes
I'm getting my feeder mice at a show this weekend when I get my snake, but I still have questions about the mice. I don't have any idea what size of bulk packaging they come in or what they cost. What should I expect to pay (ballpark) for enough mice to last a couple of months?

I don't even know what size of mice I'm going to end up getting...that all depends on how big the snake is. I'm looking for one that's between 18 and 24"...and yes, I know length has nothing to do with prey size, but that's just a reference as I don't know the typical girth of a snake that big. Whenever I decide on one, I'm going to find out from the breeder what they've been eating.

Thoughts?
 
Depending on which supplier is at the show, they usually have them in 50 or 100 packs. I have paid $10 for 50 pinks, $20 for 100, etc, and fuzzies are more than likely $20 for 50, $30 for 100. Large pinks run somewhere in between the two. For 1 snake I would buy 50 of the smaller size and 50 of the next size up. They should be vacuum packed so it's not like they'll go bad, and I'm pretty sure once you get 1, within months you'll have another one, or two, or three, so you'll have enough for everybody! LOL
