I had got this snake a few days ago, I do have a permit to keep wild caught snakes.
I found him under a log near a lake... So my first thought would be to feed him feeders/minnows from the lake.
He won't eat...
I tried to force feed, something I do not want to do to any of my snakes. : (...
But, He would take it from force feed.

Here is a picture of him...
I know he isn't shedding so that possible answer is out of the way, and he is a Queen snake... (I know, it's a odd and difficult species to keep, along with my water snake and Northern Smooth snake.)

Hey RJ. My advice is to take in pets that are easy. I killed a number of snakes (and other animals :( ) when I was a kid due to lack of knowledge and over-enthusiasm. Corns are easy, and there are even a bunch of cool color-varieties that are waaaaay cheap. Wild-caught can be sketchy, even for easy species (e.g., garters). Practice with easy, captive-bred species, then move on to greater challenges. Just my $.02. Good luck.

I've had my Northern Water for a while... He's been doing fantastic. The two others, I might go and release in a few days... Them I might buy some sunkissed from serpenco...

The sad part is that rereleasing snakes after being kept is also dangerous to the rest of the wildlife. You need to release NOW not later. All three need to go back to where they came from. Then you need to save some money (earn it by washing the car, doing handy things for neighbors, save allowence, save birthday/christmas/holiday gift money) and buy a nice captive bred cornsnake baby. Do the right thing now. Get something that has a chance at a great life with you instead of something that is suffering in captivity.

Okay.... Snakies gone :(... Now I'll go buy some sunkissed.

Horray! I hope it's really true! David lied to us once about releasing something he did not. I really hope you did release them. A sunkissed is a GREAT first snake!! Good choice! That is one I don't own yet either!

Yes I did release them. The queen actually was on the driveway 15 minutes ago, haha. It's still finding it's way around.
Anywho, I'm waiting on a payment from someone on ebay, then I'll get 100.00 to get my sunkissed snakies!
(Serpenco has them for 50.00 M/F Couple)
